Canon Details	The Alternian Empire is a warlike, expansionist interstellar empire, populated by trolls, a grey-skinned, horned humanoid species with a troublingly insectoid life cycle and a strictly segregated caste system organized by blood color. Her Imperious Condescension, the empress, is currently facing opposition from one of the longest-surviving royal-caste heiresses in recorded history, who has organized a rag-tag band of rebel supporters around herself and an off-caste mutant who bears religious significance to several long-forbidden mystery cults within the empire.

Notable Traits	Grey skin, pointed ears. Straight cylindrical orange horns with pointed tips, darker at the base and fading to bright gold at the tips. Multiple piercings in each ear and through bridge of nose. Small raised ceramic nodules implanted at insides of wrists, temples, hips, and down her spine. Clothing is simple, well-maintained but visibly worn jeans and halter top, in shades of black with her symbol (elongated hexagon with two dots inside) in mustard yellow on her shirt.
15 Second Summary	Metawing was slated to be a living space ship engine for the empire and decided, hey, fuck that actually, I'm going to wire my brain to space craft on my own initiative and taught herself biopsionic engineering. She then dodged conscription and immediately went to offer her services to the rebels. She's rough-edged, talks fast and with a lot of polysyllabic lowblood slang, quick to take offense but equally quick to let it go. Needs to have A Project or she goes stir-crazy. Her pride in her work is second only to her outrage at the system that work is undermining.
Abilities & Permissions
Abilities	- Pilot-class psionic: produces sufficient psychokinetic energy to power a standard Imperial warship or smaller craft. Also can directly utilize this power in the form of telekinesis, in both brute force and fine dexterity. - Biopsionic engineering: can safely dismantle, build, and modify biotech that runs on psychokinetic energy, given appropriate materials and workspace. Particular interest in modular interfaces and body modification. - Fighting: Scrappy but self-taught and lacking physical strength in a hand-to-hand fight. Favors blow darts and poison. - Practical chemistry: Knows how to brew alcohol. Can distill and refine natural toxins. Can isolate certain hormones and other biological substances from blood or tissue samples. (All require appropriate equipment and supplies, of course.)

Sensing	Metawing is somewhat more vulnerable to other people using telepathic abilities on her than the average human would be, but even if she can't do much to prevent them, she's also better at recognizing such invasions as something exterior to her than most humans.

Impressions & Background
Tall, skinny young-adult yellowblood with close-cropped hair and symmetrical, cyllindrical horns with sharply pointed tips. Heavily pierced, and sports self-administered biocable jacks at wrists, hips, temples, and along her spine. Clothing is typically close-fitting, clean but visibly worn, generally baring shoulders, back, and/or midriff. Typically wears scarf or handkercheif tied around the base of her right horn. Cheerful, brusque, and loud. Unwilling to have anything to do with respectability. Talks fast, uses complicated lowblood slang, picks fights frequently and forgets them just as easily. Large, dramatic gestures and tendency to casually use telekinesis for everyday tasks and sometimes for affectionate physical contact. Anxious around clowns. Has no particular defenses against any aggressive mind-effecting power. Helm-grade psionic, premptive deserter, revolutionary, and renegade biosmith. The state of modern Alternian helm technology is a mess and Metawing intends to demonstrate that her temporary and less-invasive helm arrays can be competative on the imperial stage. She intends to demonstrate this by volunteering them to support the current Heritrix's bid for the throne. Also dabbles in brewing and chemistry. Wields blowgunkind but cheats with psionics. A sucker for any work of fiction that treats a ship's helmsman as an actual character.

[IC] Hugging this character: She's kinda made of coathangers and if your character surprises her she's likely to flinch away and/or lash out with telekinesis, but if you want to go for it sure. Kissing this character: Sure, although see above re: the probable result of startling her. Flirting with this character: Short answer: Yes! Homestuck answer: Hearts, spades, or clubs: absolutely; diamonds: I'm open to AUing as applicable but unless we've negotiated otherwise, Metawing has a moirail and is not interested in othe pale relationships at this time. Fighting with this character: She's not much of a physical combatant, but she's scrappy and argumentative. If Metawing gives your character a reason to take a swing at her, feel free to go for it. Injuring this character: Bumps, bruises, and scrapes are fair game; for potentially disabling or disfiguring injuries please talk to me first. Killing this character: Probably not, although if it seems appropriate you can ask. No promises. Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: She's not likely to be happy about it unless done with her express consent, but as a lowblood she doesn't really have any way to stop it and OOCly I'm ok with it. If subjected to mind control of any kind, she may attempt to retaliate as soon as she's able to, so keep that in mind.
